Jujitsu school

This is a wonderfully equipped Dojo with great equipment, facilities and the highest level trainers. I would recommend this Dojo to anyone but the thing that sets this Dojo above others is the warm and friendly environment that makes this such a great experience and welcoming for younger trainers and families looking for somewhere for their little ones to grow.

Grayson has been my professor for over 10 years now.He is one of the most kindest and generous man I know. Grayson is a great mentor to everyone at Legion 13 and he brings to the table a wide variety of Jiujitsu, passion and knowledge.I wished I met Grayson at younger age.Legion 13 is the best place to learn Jiujitsu in WA.

Every now and then, as part of my martial arts journey, I go dojo-touring. In my time, I've visited many martial arts organisations, local and foreign, and have rarely encountered the high quality experience offered at Perth Martial Arts Academy.Their teaching style and curriculum is excellent, combining the key essence of techniques, pressure testing, and flow drills. Their spacious facility and ample equipment allow for efficient and adequate practice for all members. Students range from young to middle-aged, with an assortment of body-types to ensure a diverse coverage when learning techniques. The friendly instructors are surprisingly humble for their consistently high level of skill and power- this is always a sign of high calibre martial arts AND personal cultivation. In addition, the fees are criminally affordable for what is offered, and sessions are held throughout most of the week, with different classes to suit any skill level or time frame.It became clear as I engaged with classes that PMAA fosters a environment that is dynamic, challenging, practical, cultured, and most importantly, welcoming to everyone. (Fitness is not an issue either, but it'll help!). Experienced martial artists and complete beginners of all ages will gain valuable insight/experiences, thanks to the dedication and care of the administration and senior members.Being a martial artist with no prior groundfighting tuition, jujitsu took some time to get used to, but all the basic locks, positions and submissions were imparted to me within my first 2 lessons, and I got to use whatever I learned immediately too. As a rule, I only join other schools for a maximum of one month, but on this occasion, for the first time, I was sorely tempted to break that rule. My deepest respect and admiration goes to Perth Martial Arts Academy: it's easy to see why you have a 5 star rating across the board.

My 14 year old son has been attending Scrappy MMA for approximately 5 months. I can honestly say there is no place like it! He has tried every sport under the sun and nothing has ever “clicked”. Since Jake has started attending his behaviour has completely shifted. He is more confident, respectful, calm and just an absolute pleasure to be around. There is absolutely no where like this that I have ever experienced. All of the staff are like family to him, they take the time every single day to make him feel welcome and a part of something. I can’t thank all of the Scrappy instructors enough for playing such a crucial role in his life. Thank you so much!

Spear Dojo is a family orientated club, with all instructors being extremely friendly and approachable . It is a friendly and safe environment for children of all ages.My daughter started Spear Dojo when she was 6, she is now 14, and aiming towards her black belt. She has learned how to defend herself and has improved in her confidence. She is now an assistant instructor, which has given her some responsibility. and she enjoys helping the younger children.

Kaizen lab is a great community for bjj. Their warm welcoming staff members and training partners are excellent for those who want to improve in bjj and even beginners who aren’t sure what bjj is. If you ever have any thought in your mind about Brazilian jiu jitsu and want to give it a try I strongly recommend starting your journey with kaizen lab!

Ethos Karratha is an amazing club filled with amazing people and even better technique. 100% recommended if your looking for a place to roll in Karratha.

Very welcoming and inclusive gym .I joined to try a new sport (BJJ) and ended up meeting a great of bunch people who i get to train with every week and have made friends along the way. Coaches Lockie and Kiam are super friendly and knowledgable. I often drive back feeling great after an intense workout, learning bjj and having a good laugh with my teammates.

Honestly like a second family, the enviroment of growth and encouragement is amazing, been at the gym for almost 4 years at this point and wouldn't change it for the world. doesn't matter whether its a technique or life advice, the people here always want to build you up and see you grow. made some absolutely amazing friends being here, and look forward to continuing my training.
