After visiting Gracie Humaita I can honestly say what a great well set up academy, Everybody friendly and welcoming no egos at all.As for professor Aldo what a true gentleman who does nothing but make you feel welcome and willing to help you in any way he can his knowledge and way of teaching is second to none.

Having tried another gym in Perth first, I was disillusioned by the style of teaching.When I came along to Gracie Humaita Wembley and met Professor Aldo lobato, I experienced first hand that Jiu Jitsu is a true gentleman's ( or women's) martial art.Apart from the obvious benefits of learning the original style of Jiu Jitsu and self defense in a safe, relaxed and fun atmosphere, Aldo's passion and enthusiasm are infectious making it a very enjoyable experience. The classes are the perfect mix of technique, drills and rolling so you can be sure to get a good work out and test out your techniques quickly.I've found that the Gracie Humaita ethos goes well with my own values and this for me is a must. I never came to Jui Jitsu to be a better fighter but to be a better person and If you are looking for the same then Gracia Humaita Wembley is the place for you.The facilities are spotless, the members of the gym are polite, respectful and well mannered and there are all ages and walks of life on the matts.I look forward to seeing you there.

At Gracie Humaita Wembley we practice Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, for those who do not know the difference with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu the difference lies in the training/teaching philosophy. Gracie Jiu-jitsu is taught, first and foremost as a system of self-defence, to give the student the ability to stay safe and prevail during a real street fight confrontation. In contrast, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, in most cases, is taught exclusively as a recreational sport.Gracie Humaita Wembley Academy facilities are comfortable and clean.Professor Aldo Lobato is excellent and professional, each class is like attending a seminar, his years of experience are reflected on the tatami, and he is always committed to every one of his students in their progress. In my opinion, Aldo is not only a professor who owns a business; Aldo is a true guide.

Professor Aldo is a very experienced, very technical and patient coach. From years of constant training and coaching his expertise is well received from a mixed group of members to the Gracie Humaitá Family.Everybody here is eager to learn from each other in a friendly, knowledgable environment and everybody respects everybody’s different ability levels and motivations.If you are looking for a good gym to continue training BJJ or to start a new hobby as a beginner, I would definitely recommend Gracie Humaitá at Wembley.

This family run business is extremely welcoming to everyone. As a guy with a small frame, the traditional Gracie Jiu-Jitsu has been a massive help to me in defending against much larger and stronger opponents. The teacher, Aldo has been a great mentor for me in my martial arts journey. The classes he leads are challenging and a lot of fun. With reasonably small class sizes, you will often get a lot of personal attention which is huge for progression. If you want to learn or improve your BJJ game, you're in more than capable hands with Aldo and Gracie Humaita in Wembley.

Highly recommend taking up or training Gracie Jiu-Jitsu at this facility. The Professor Aldo is a charismatic, friendly coach and an excellent teacher. The training partners are very welcoming and the training environment is always enjoyable. Overall a great place to learn self-defence and BJJ.

I came here without knowing what Jiu-Jitsu was.Now, I have been practising for 3 months and I have to say I have gained disciplined, stamina and basic understanding of martial arts. I would definitely recommend to give it a try. Other students are also very welcoming and make you feel comfortable while practising. Sweat and fun but egos out the door.

Gracie Jiu Jitsu Wembley is the traditional Gracie Jiu Jitsu from Brazil with an influence of Japanese Judo, lineage of GM Hélio Gracie and master Royler Gracie..The Professor Aldo is very experienced and very welcoming, the classes are always interesting and high energy, plenty car park available, super friendly guys and girls. Recommend for all levels.
